University Museum announces Family Workshop schedule for spring 2003

Making powdered wigs, Mardi Gras masks, sundials and Chinese paper lanterns are some highlights of the New Mexico State University Museum's Saturday Family Workshops scheduled for spring 2003.

Feb. 1, Celebrate the Chinese New Year - Making Paper Lanterns.
Feb. 8, Be My Candy Valentine.
Feb. 15, "Twas Brillig and the Slithy Toves" - Build Your Own Jabberwocky.
Feb. 22, Crossing the Delaware Paper Boats and Powdered Wigs.
Mar. 1, Join in the Festival with Mardi Gras Masks.
Mar. 8, Harness Those March Winds with a Streamer Wind Toy.
Mar. 15, St. Patrick's Day Puzzles and Hats.
Mar. 22, No workshop - Spring Break.
Mar. 29, Explore Ancient Tombs - Make a Mummy and a Sarcophagus.
Apr. 5, Build a Sundial.
Apr. 12, April Showers Bring May Flowers - Plant a Flower Bulb in a Hand-Painted Jar.
Apr. 19, No workshop - Spring Holiday.
Apr. 26, Make Your Own Fossil.
May 3, May Flower Bouquets with Butterflies and Dragonflies.
Weather permitting, the spring Family Workshops will be held from 2 to 3:30 p.m. in the Kent Hall courtyard. They are free and open to all families. Supplies will be provided.
