NMSU Career Services to host Educators' Job Fair 2007

To provide graduating education students with an opportunity to interview with numerous school districts throughout the nation, New Mexico State University's Career Services and College of Education will hold the Educators' Job Fair 2007 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, April 23 and 24, in the Corbett Center Student Union Third Level Ballrooms.

Elizabeth Ortega, the coordinator of the event, said graduating NMSU education students, as well those with education degrees in the community, are invited to attend the job fair, which will bring at least 82 districts from 11 states.

"This is one of the largest job fairs in the region," Ortega said. "It will provide job-seeking students with countless employment opportunities."

School districts from New Mexico and its surrounding states are registered for the event, as well as districts from California, Florida, Nebraska, Oregon, Washington and Alaska.

Ortega said it is best for students to register previous to the job fair by calling the Career Services' Professional Employment section at (505) 646-2849. There also will be on-site registration at the event. Registration is free.

Students should dress appropriately for their interviews and bring copies of their resume. Ortega said each interview will be about 30 minutes.
