NMSU observatory to hold open house

The New Mexico State University department of astronomy will hold an observatory open house at 8 p.m. Friday, April 20, at the NMSU campus observatory.

Tom Harrison, NMSU observatory specialist, and graduate students Roberto Avila and Sophia Cisneros will be on hand during the open house. If weather permits, visitors will view the moon, the planet Saturn, the Orion Nebula, Open Cluster M35, and Galaxies M81 and M82. Other celestial objects also will be observed.
