Dave Holly to lead Aggie Athletic Fund

Dave Holly has been selected to lead the New Mexico State University Aggie Athletic Fund as an associate athletic director for development.

The Aggie Athletic Fund Inc. is the official, tax-exempt, fund-raising arm of NMSU intercollegiate athletics. AAF's primary purpose is to raise funds for athletic scholarships.

Holly, who assumed his new role Dec. 1, said he is looking forward to further developing the AAF.

"I want to develop the AAF into an important entity within the university," he said. "My focus will be to provide resources for student athletes."

"The Aggie Athletic fund has tremendous potential to provide more gift resources to each sport on campus as well as to build scholarships and endowments that will provide support to our student athletes and their coaches," said Rebecca Dukes, vice president for university advancement. "Dave has excellent organization skills and the drive to provide outstanding customer service. His desire to produce and perform at a very high level made him an easy choice for this role."

Holly joined NMSU in 2001 as a corporate underwriter for the university's public television station KRWG. He served as interim general manager of KRWG during a recent reorganization of university broadcasting and produced and hosted "Minding Your Business" and "Your Legislators."

Holly has a bachelor's in applied studies with a minor in management from NMSU and is pursuing a master's in government.

He serves on the board for the Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Southern New Mexico, is a member of the Rio Grande Rotary of Las Cruces and holds an honorary status with the Las Cruces Chamber of Commerce Conquistadores.
