NMSU athletic games to be broadcast live

AggieVision, a new program of New Mexico State University's mobile broadcasting unit that is producing and distributing Aggie sports events on television, is scheduled to present at least 43 live games during the next year on Comcast and other channels.

Comcast Entertainment Television affiliates in Las Cruces, Albuquerque, Gallup and Santa Fe and Time Warner Cable in El Paso are carrying the events, while Altitude Sports & Entertainment and Fox Sports Network-Arizona are featuring a selected few. In most cases, the games are broadcast live, but home football games are tape-delayed in Las Cruces.

"AggieVision and our partnership with Comcast Cable and our other affiliates is a key component to our plan to advance the reach and scope of New Mexico State athletics," said athletic director McKinley Boston. "Not only does AggieVision bring our events to more of our fans and alumni, but it will help our coaches in recruiting and increase the value of our brand to our current and future corporate partners."

AggieVision is producing and distributing seven football games and five volleyball matches this fall, including key WAC contests. Coupled with the four games produced and distributed by ESPN, 12 New Mexico State football games will be aired on Comcast Entertainment Television (Las Cruces channel 4) during the 2007 season.

In the winter, men's and women's basketball will be featured with at least 15 men's events and five women's events on the schedule. At least six baseball and softball games will be televised in the spring.
