Free educational seminar on breast cancer to be hosted by NMSU

A free educational seminar will be presented Thursday, Sept. 27, at the Farm and Ranch Heritage Museum in Las Cruces to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer and women's cancer research at New Mexico State University and the University of New Mexico Cancer Center (UNMCC).

From 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. several keynote speakers will talk about breast cancer and a women's cancer collaborative research project. The talks will be followed by a question-and-answer segment. An information fair will precede the talks, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.

Experts and researchers from NMSU and UNMCC serving as keynote speakers are Jeffrey Arterburn, Dr. Warren Alexander, Dr. Katie Rasila, Dr. Melanie Royce, Larry Skalr, Eric Prossnitz and June Mumme, wife of the NMSU football coach and a cancer survivor.
