NMSU observatory to hold open house

The New Mexico State University Astronomy Department will hold an Observatory Open House at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 16, at the Tombaugh Observatory on campus.


Weather permitting, sky viewing through telescopes will include the Double Cluster in Perseus, the Globular Cluster M15 and the Comet Holmes.

Tom Harrison, observatory specialist at NMSU, and astronomy graduate students Paul Strycker, Jihae Choi and Sebastian Trujillo will host the open house.

The open house is free and open to the public. Children are encouraged to attend. For more information contact the astronomy department at (575) 646-4438.
