STAN FULTON CENTER UNIVERSITY CLUB TO HOST VALENTINE'S DINNER


NMSU's Stan Fulton Center University Club will host a special Valentine's Dinner from 6 to 10 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 14, at the Stan Fulton Center.

The regular menu items will be replaced with a special Valentine's menu for $50 per couple. Anyone planning to attend will need to RSVP at (575) 646-4763 by Thursday, Feb. 12.

NMSU THEATER PRESENTS 'PIXIE'

The American Southwest Theater Company at NMSU Theatre Arts will present "Pixie" a full production from the High Desert Play Development program on Friday Feb. 20 through March 8.

When Terrence accidentally kills Pixie, an extraordinarily small dog, it starts a series of events that reveals Terrence's deepest secrets and fears, unraveling his life before his own eyes. And when Pixie actually begins speaking to him, Terrence feels his sanity unraveling as well.

CLABS TO HOST DOCUMENTARY EVENT

The Center for Latin American and Border Studies will host an event titled "Farm Workers, Civil Rights and Environmental Justice on the US-Mexico Border" from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday February 16, at Hardman 104 on the NMSU main campus.

The event will include the showing of the 2008 documentary, "Bracero Stories," with commentary and analysis from Carlos Marentes of Border Farm Workers Center in El Paso, Emily Carey of American Civil Liberties Union in Las Cruces and Veronica Carmona of Colonias Development Council in Las Cruces.

UNIVERSITY MUSEUM TO HOLD FAMILY WORKSHOP

The University Museum will hold their Saturday Family Workshop from 2 to 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 14.

Families are invited to make paper flower bouquets in the spirit of Valentine's Day. There is no charge for the workshop and attendants should meet at the University Museum.

EXHIBIT OPENING AND RECEPTION AT UNIVERSITY MUSEUM

The University Museum will hold an exhibit opening and reception for three exhibits from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 19, at the museum.

The three exhibits include "Temple of Warriors," "Neanderthal," and "Kipp Ruin." Attendees are invited to view exhibits and enjoy refreshments.
