NMSU educational alliance to hold fall meeting

WHO: New Mexico State University's Alliance for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning


WHAT: Fall 2007 Meeting

WHEN: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 12, 2007

WHERE: The New Mexico Farm and Ranch Heritage Museum

Topics to be addressed at the Fall 2007 meeting of NMSU's Alliance for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning will include assessment and literacy, formalizing governance structure and legislative funding.

Robert Moulton, dean of the College of Education at NMSU, Grace Marquez of Anthony Elementary School, Martin Greer of the Las Cruces Public Schools and Gerald Chacon and Kim Hand of the NMSU department of Extension and Outreach will speak at the meeting.

The Alliance for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning strives "to collaboratively contribute to the success of children throughout New Mexico and the educators that serve them." Members of the alliance include 15 school districts, 10 NMSU programs and three state universities.
