FIRST OF DIVERSITY SERIES LECTURES TO BE HELD AT NMSU


Harold Bailey, executive director of the New Mexico Office of African American Affairs, will discuss "Diversity Within the Educational System" at 7 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 1, in the Milton Hall Auditorium.

Bailey is a certified diversity trainer, former president of the Albuquerque NAACP and former National Council on Black Studies member.

This event of is the first of three lectures in the Diversity Speaker Series.

NMSU SYMPOSIUM TO ADDRESS EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION

The J. Paul Taylor Early Childhood Education Symposium will be held from 9-11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, at the New Mexico Farm and Ranch Heritage Museum.

The symposium will honor faculty and students and their research in the area of early childhood education.

Three students and four faculty members will be sharing research with attendees. The research paper abstracts will be published in the Southwest Institute of Early Childhood Studies e-journal called "Cultural and Linguistic Perspective of Emergent Literacy: An E-Journal."
