NMSU MUSEUM TO HOLD SATURDAY WORKSHOP


The New Mexico State University Museum will host a children and family workshop, with craft projects that reflect a 1930s theme, Saturday, March 29, from 2 to 3:30 p.m.

During the "Making Jump Rope" workshop, participants will learn how to construct jump ropes out of household items. They will also learn games and enjoy this classic pastime.

The workshop is free and the materials are provided. Sign up is not required, but large groups should call ahead to make reservations. The University Museum is located at University Avenue and Solano Drive.

NMSU ART GALLERY HOSTS EXHIBITION IN HONOR OF WOMEN'S HISTORY

The New Mexico State University Art Gallery will host a reception at 4 p.m. March 30 for an exhibit titled "Women Without Borders." The exhibit will include all forms of visual art from women artists on both sides of the U.S. and Mexico border. It will run through Friday, April 4.

Gallery hours are from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. The gallery is located in D.W. Williams Art Center, University Avenue at Solano Drive. For more information call the gallery at (575) 646-2545.

READING HOSTED BY LA SOCIEDAD PARA LAS ARTES

La Sociedad Para Las Artes, a graduate student organization at New Mexico State University, will host a reading by Jenny Boully at 7:30 p.m. April 4 in Hardman Hall Room 106.

Master of Fine Arts candidate Melanie Viramontes also will be reading.

THE FOURTH ANNUAL J. PAUL TAYLOR JUSTICE SYMPOSIUM HELD AT NMSU

The 4th Annual J. Paul Taylor Justice Symposium will be held April 2 to 4 at New Mexico State University. This year's symposium is titled "Justice for Immigrants." Panel discussions will be held to discuss several issues about immigration, justice and the border. Other events also will be held through out the campus.
