NMSU THEATRE ARTS AND ASTC PRESENT 'THE TAMING OF THE SHREW'


New Mexico State University's Department of Theatre Arts and the American Southwest Theatre Company will present William Shakespeare's "The Taming of the Shrew" April 25 through May 4 at the Hershel Zohn Theatre on the NMSU campus.

CENTER FOR LATIN AMERICAN AND BORDER STUDIES HOST AUTHOR

The New Mexico State University Center for Latin American and Border Studies will host Raul Dorantes, a Mexican author residing in Chicago, at 4 p.m. May 8 at the Nason House, 1200 University Ave.

Dorantes will present two of his recent anthologies regarding Mexican migration and culture in Chicago, titled "...Y Nos Venimos de Mojados: Cultura Mexicana de Chicago" and "Vocesueltas: cuatro cuentistas de Chicago."

LAS CRUCES SYMPHONY AT NMSU

The Las Cruces Symphony will perform at New Mexico State University at 7:30 p.m. May 3 and 3 p.m. May 4 at the Music Center Recital Hall.

James Houlik will play the saxophone and Lonnie Klein will be the conductor.

Admission will be charged.

NMSU HOSTS HONORS RECITAL

The New Mexico State University Music Department will host its annual Honors Recital at 7:30 p.m. May 4 at the Music Center Recital Hall.

Each semester performers of the Honors Recital are chosen by faculty.

Ken Van Winkle, head of the Music Department, will be coordinator of the recital.

BOOKSTORE HOSTS CHILDREN'S PROGRAM

The New Mexico State University Bookstore will host the Children's Program from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. May 3 at the Family Student Housing Community Center.

There is no fee and supplies are provided.

The New Mexico State University Bookstore will host the "Buy Back Side Walk Sale" from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 6 and 7 in the Corbett Center Student Union lobby, in front of the Bookstore.
