Aggie Athletics Fund launches the Legacy Plaza project

The New Mexico State University Aggie Athletics Fund is offering a unique opportunity for alumni, staff, faculty and friends of the university to "set in stone" their commitment to NMSU as part of the Legacy Plaza project.

On August 1, the Aggie Athletics Fund will begin selling a paving stone that can be used to honor you or any loved one to serve as a fitting tribute that will last a lifetime. The stones will be placed at the north entrance of the Pan Am Center, which will be known as the Legacy Plaza, and will become a historic entrance to the Pan Am Center honoring the great moments, teams and individuals who make the Aggies what we are today.

"The paving stones will symbolize our friends' steadfast commitment to making New Mexico State University the best it can be," said David Holly, director of the Aggie Athletic Fund's development and operations. "This project will also help to support our student athletes."

The 12-inch paving stones can be purchased for $150 and engraved with your personalized message. Once the first 1,000 stones are sold, they will be placed on the Legacy Plaza. The stones will be place on the plaza in increments of 1,000. The Aggie Athletics Fund goal is to sell 5,000 stones, which would raise more than $500,000. All of the proceeds will be used to support student athletes.
