NMSU THEATER PRESENTS 'CINDERELLA'


The American Southwest Theatre Company at New Mexico State University Theatre Arts will present "Cinderella" Nov. 20-Dec. 7 at the Hershel Zohn Theatre.

The classic fairy tale about a poor girl, a handsome prince and a glass slipper is fun for the whole family.

NMSU HOLDS FESTIVAL OF THANKS

The New Mexico State University Choirs will present "Festival of Thanks," a holiday concert combining food and music, from 3 to 5 p.m. Nov. 15 in the Music Center Recital Hall.

The concert will start with the "Festival of Food." Andele Restaurant will sell enchiladas and burritos in the choral room at this time. The "Festival of Song" will then take place with performances from the concert choir, gospel choir, campus choir and the new men's choir, Crimson Chord Company. They will sing several holiday favorites, such as Bing Crosby's signature "White Christmas." The evening will end with the "Festival of Classical Choral Music." University Singers and Masterworks Chorus will sing music from Eric Whitacre and Benjamin Britten.

NMSU MUSEUM HOLDS ARTIST RECEPTION AND DISCUSSION

The New Mexico State University Museum will hold a special reception and panel discussion with photographer and pilot Adriel Heisey at 4 p.m. Nov. 15 in Kent Hall.

Heisey's photographs are currently on display in the Museum's exhibit "From Above: Images of a Storied Land."

NMSU GALLERY HOLDS WARHOL EXHIBITION

An exhibition titled "Andy Warhol's Fifteen Minutes at New Mexico State University" runs at the NMSU Art Gallery through Dec. 23.

The gallery is exhibiting 28 of Andy Warhol's original photographs with examples portraying both color Polaroid images and black and white silver gelatin prints. This work reflects his interest in celebrities, New York and other items of "pop" culture.

This is the first time these particular photographs are being exhibited. The gallery is located at D. W. Williams Hall, Solano Drive at University Avenue in Las Cruces.

NMSU HOSTS FACULTY CONCERTS

New Mexico State University will host a faculty artist and NMSU Symphonic Winds concert at 3 p.m. Nov. 16 in the Music Center Recital Hall.

The faculty artist will be Jim Shearer, a tuba professor. The NMSU Symphonic Winds is comprised of undergraduate music majors. Ken Van Winkle, the music department head, will be the conductor.
