New Mexico State University again on Hispanic's Top 25 list

New Mexico State University again on Hispanic's Top 25 list New Mexico State University again has been ranked by Hispanic magazine as one of the nation's Top 25 Colleges and Universities for Hispanics.

The magazine said factors considered in compiling the list included Hispanic enrollment, the number of Hispanic graduates, academic excellence, Hispanic-related degree programs, Hispanic student organizations, recruiting and minority support programs, and Hispanic faculty.

Two other area universities -- the University of New Mexico and the University of Texas at El Paso -- also made the Top 25 list, which appears in the magazine's March 2000 issue.

Earlier this year NMSU was named one of the 10 best universities for Hispanic students by Super Onda, a national magazine for young adults. The university regularly ranks among the Hispanic Outlook Top 100, published by Hispanic Outlook in Higher Education.
