Workshop informs managers about creating commitment in their organizations

New Mexico State University's Arrowhead Center will host a workshop titled "Creating Commitment in Your Organization." The workshop is Friday, Oct. 17, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at NMSU's Guthrie Hall, Room 100. This event is free and open to the public.

The workshop will be presented by Paul Short, a successful business owner and an entrepreneurship consultant to Arrowhead Center. Short was president of Albuquerque-based InnovASIC from 1992-1998 and the company's CEO from 1997-2005, a company he conceived of and bootstrapped. At InnovASIC, Short grew revenue from zero to $5.1 million.

Short now works as a columnist for Innovation Magazine, writing a bimonthly column and speaking on culture and entrepreneurship. He also holds the position of entrepreneur-in-residence for the Verge Fund, a New Mexico seed-stage technology venture fund. A New Mexico native, Short earned his B.S. and M.S. in electrical engineering from New Mexico State University.
