UNIVERSITY MUSEUM TO HOST ANTHROPOLOGICAL FILM SERIES


The University Museum will host the Anthropological Film Series at 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 2.

The film being shown is "Popol Vuh: The Creation Myth of the Maya." The event is free and open to the public.

ARTS AND SCIENCES COLLOQUIUM SERIES PRESENTS LECTURE

As part of its Colloquium Series, the College of Arts and Sciences will present a lecture with Dr. Birute Galdikas at 4 p.m. on Monday, March 30, in Hardman 106 with a book signing to follow.

Dr. Galdika's lecture "Pongo in Peril: Saving the Orangutans and Rain Forest of Indonesia," will discuss her pioneering study of Bornean orangutans. Along with Jane Goodall and the late Dian Fossey, Dr. Galdikas is considered one of the three leading experts on the primates.

The Barnes and Noble University Bookstore will provide book sales at the event.
