UNIVERSITY MUSEUM HOSTS FAMILY WORKSHOP


The University Museum will hold a Saturday Family Workshop from 2 to 3:30 p.m. on March 14.

The workshop will include a project focused on Mayan Huipil. This workshop is open to the community free of charge.

JOURNALISM DEPARTMENT TO HOST JAMES MADISON DAY

The Department of Journalism will host a "James Madison Day" lecture from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 18, in Milton Hall Room 171.

The topic for the panel will be "Censorship by Bullet and Intimidation: Journalists' Murders in Mexico" and will feature lectures by three distinguished border journalists. The lecture is free and open to the public.

NMSU PHYSICS DEPARTMENT TO HOST LECTURE ON GOLD

As part of a continuing physics lecture series, Heinz Nakotte, associate professor of physics at New Mexico State University, will speak at 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 18, in the Corbett Center Auditorium.

Nakotte's lecture, "The Neutron Files: Gold Crystals and Other Hidden Treasures," will discuss how scientists can determine, by looking at a material with neutrons, its composition and structure. There is no admission cost for the lecture and it is open to the public.
