Raines, who grew up in Santa Teresa, graduated in 2007 with a Music Theory/Composition degree. Raines concert will include a 40-piece choir as well as wind ensemble.

"I love Las Cruces with all of my heart. I could not have asked for a more incredible place to launch a composition career," Raines said.

Raines compositions have been performed by the University Singers and the Symphonic Winds at NMSU and he also was one of the writers of the musical "We Are Enron," a sold-out show presented in February 2008.

Pianist Vanessa Williams will be performing a solo and local oboist Ann Berman will be performing with the choir on "The Raven" based on the text by Edgar Allen Poe.

Raines will continue his graduate work in composition at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Proceeds from this concert will help him in his move and furthering his career.

Tickets are $10 and available through ticketmaster.com, Ticketmaster outlets and at the door the day of the show. For more information visit www.justinrainesmusic.com or call (575)-805-0928.
