New Mexico State University Pride Band wraps up camp with "Concert on the Green"

The New Mexico State University Pride Band will be hosting the annual "Concert on the Green" at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 25, at the Corbett Center Outdoor Stage.

The concert traditionally concludes the Aggie Pride Band Camp that this year ran from Aug. 5 until the beginning of school. The camp brings together the 220 member band for the first time and prepares the ensemble for the upcoming football season.

"We brought in 220 of the best musicians in the Southwest. During camp we had everyone learn our marching band fundamentals as well as our traditional selections and the new selections we will play this year," director of band, Monty Hill said.

The band will perform the Latin classic "Malaguena," the Bon Jovi hit "Livin' on a Prayer," Duke Ellington's "Caravan," and others.

Admission is free and open to the public. For more information call (575) 646-2421.
