The New Mexico State University's 26th annual Children's Theater Workshop will kick off Sept. 14, for grades 1-3 and on Sept. 16, for the grades 4-8.

This year, the first through third grade group will meet on Mondays throughout the school year from 3:30-5 p.m. The children will learn about medieval society and will write their own play. They will conclude the program with a production at 5:30 p.m. on May 3.

The fourth through eighth grade group will meet for the "Let's Act" program from 4-5:30 p.m. on Wednesdays throughout the school year. The group will perform two separate performances throughout the school year. The fall performance, "Juggler of Rainbows," will be at 6 p.m. on Dec. 9. A spring performance held on May 7 will be announced later in the year.

The availability of class enrollment is on a first-come first-serve basis. Parents can register their children at the theater office on the NMSU campus. The cost of the program is a one-time payment of $297 or a monthly payment from September to May of $33.
