PADI to hold 'Danza Sin Fronteras' classes, performance

The Pan American Dance Institute of New Mexico State University will present "Danza Sin Fronteras" festival of classes and performances Oct. 24 and 25, at Bowie High School in El Paso.

Companies from Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico, El Paso and Las Cruces will hold a festival of classes from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24. For $25, the public can take advantage of an entire day of classes including ballet, modern, jazz, tap, tango, hip hop and modern inversion.

A performance will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 25. The program will include performances from Bowie Dance Ensemble, Contemporary Dance Theatre, Cor Ignis Contemporary Dance Company, Crimson Rhythm Dance Sport, Sol y Arena Flamenco, Sole Creations Dance Company, Karla Fernandez Dancers Studio and more.

Both the classes and performances will be held at Bowie High School at 801 San Marcial St. in El Paso. Tickets for the performance are $5 for students and $8 for adults and are available at the PADI/Dance Program Office, the Pan American Center box office or at the door the day of the performance.
