American Southwest Theatre Company to present free singing workshop

The American Southwest Theater Company at New Mexico State University will hold its second, free theater singing workshop this season presented by guest artist Robert Randall from 4:30-5:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 12, in the Isabel Crouch Reader's Theatre located between the English and Speech buildings on the NMSU campus.


"Singing 101" is a workshop for beginning singers or singers with little or no formal training. It will cover basic vocal techniques and simple warm-up exercises.

Robert Randall is the assistant choir director at Las Cruces High School, and the music director of numerous local musical theater productions. He currently serves as the music director of ASTC's production of "Seussical," running from Nov. 20 through Dec 6.
