UNIVERSITY MUSEUM TO HOLD WEEKLY SATURDAY FAMILY WORKSHOP


The New Mexico State University Museum will be holding its Saturday Family Workshop from 2-3:30 p.m. Nov. 14.

This week's activity will be making miniature graham cracker hooghans. The workshop is free and open to the public.

'ADULT SWIM' COMES TO THE NMSU PAN AMERICAN CENTER

The New Mexico State University Pan American Center will host "Adult Swim presents Dethklok and Mastadon" at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 16.

MUSEUM'S ANTHROPOLOGICAL FILM SERIES CONTINUES

The New Mexico State University Museum's anthropological film series will continue at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 17, and 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 19.

"Mountain Gorilla" will be shown Nov. 17, focusing on the behavioral patterns of a troop of gorillas and contains footage of their daily lives.

"Rocks with Wings," being shown Nov. 19, was filmed over the course of 13 years. It is a portrait of the Lady Chieftains, the legendary girls basketball team from Shiprock, N.M. made up primarily of kids from the nearby Navajo reservation.

ASNMSU PRESENTS JUAN CARMONA

The Associated Students of New Mexico State University will present flamenco guitarist Juan Carmona at 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 19, at Atkinson Recital Hall on the NMSU campus.

Carmona has received Latin Grammy nominations for Best Flamenco Album in 2003 and 2006. He composed Sinfonica Flamenca, which has been performed by orchestras worldwide and the Juan Carmona Grupo.

If tickets are not sold out in advance, they will also be available at the door the night of the show. General admission tickets are $15, and $10 for NMSU faculty and staff, senior citizens, students and children.

UNIVERSITY BOOKSTORE TO HOST LECTURE, BOOK SIGNING

The New Mexico State University Bookstore will host a lecture and book signing with author Martha Eagan from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 20, in Corbett Center Student Union.

Eagan will be signing copies of her new books "Clearing Customs" and "La Ranfla and Other New Mexico Stories."

ASTC AT NMSU THEATRE ARTS PRESENTS 'SUESSICAL'

The American Southwest Theatre Company at New Mexico State University Theatre Arts will present "Seussical" Nov. 20 through Dec. 6, at the Hershel Zohn Theatre.

The beloved characters of Dr. Seuss come to life in the magical musical including Horton the Elephant, Gertrude McFuzz, the Cat in the Hat and others.

During the run of the show, the theater will be selling special Seuss-inspired merchandise and will hold their annual Toys for Tots Drive. Audience members are encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped present to the show to help those in need.

NMSU THEATRE ARTS TO HOLD BARNES & NOBLE BOOKFAIR

The American Southwest Theatre Company at New Mexico State University Theatre Arts will be holding a book fair Nov. 21 and 22 at Barnes & Noble at the Mesilla Valley Mall.

Just in time for the theater's run of "Seussical," the fair will include special readings, ticket giveaways, photo opportunities and more. A percentage of all purchases will be donated to the ASTC to support their outreach and guest artist programs.
