2010 Master of Fine Arts thesis exhibition to open at NMSU Art Gallery next month

"En Masse," the 2010 Master of Fine Arts thesis exhibition, will run April 16 through May 7 in New Mexico State University's Art Gallery with an opening reception held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 16.

Featuring 10 of the best emerging artists in the region, "En Masse" is the culminating exhibit for three years of advanced study by 10 graduates in the practice, theory and history of art. Works include sculpture by Amanda Marcott, painting by Isadora Stowe, Brett Thompson and Chris Bardey, graphic design by Jacob Munoz and Edward Schmitt, photography by Angelita Rodriguez and James Meaux, and printmaking by Elizabeth Nielsen and Seth Roby.

The University Art Gallery is located in D.W. Williams Hall on the NMSU campus at the intersection of Solano Drive and University Avenue. Parking is free for the evening reception, while visitors on weekdays may use gallery parking and check in with the receptionist. Gallery hours are Tuesday through Friday 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., and noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday. The gallery can be reached at (575) 646-2545 or (575) 646-5423.
