NMSU students graduate with University Honors

New Mexico State University Crimson Scholars who graduated this spring with University Honors were recognized Friday, May 7, at the spring 2010 Graduate Recognition Ceremony in the Conroy Honors Center.

NMSU President Barbara Couture honored 11 students who excelled in their studies earning either University Honors or Distinction in University Honors. Graduating with such recognition requires students to complete 15 hours of honors course work and a senior honors thesis. In addition they must have a minimum 3.50 GPA. In order to graduate with Distinction in University Honors, students must complete the required course work and thesis and maintain a minimum 3.75 GPA.

Students recognized with University Honors were Megan Dickens and Daisy Ramirez.

Students earning a Distinction in University Honors included Rebecca Armstrong, Amanda Guitar, Amanda Henry, Kayla Nelson, Marisol Resendiz, Sierra Spence, Katherine Rodina, Paul Tran and Yan Yang.
