Participants from UAC included those from departments in education, medicine, law, philosophy and science hoping to better their practice of teaching to adults. NMSU professors Loui Reyes and Marisol Ruiz headed the training for the 20 participants in the areas of teacher action research and Socratic questioning. The participants were shown how to do research on their own teaching practices with a goal of sharpening strategies, methods and communication skills to ensure better learning for their students.
The participants were also able to explore the campus, visit area attractions and see some of the work and projects being done at NMSU.

This is the third group from the university that has been able to visit and receive training from NMSU.
