Completing its 26th year, Children's Theatre Workshop offers students from grades 1 through 8 the opportunity to explore, create, act and develop skills in a theatrical production, communication, collaboration and imagination.

Under the direction of professor Ruth Cantrell, the play follows young Gerda as she searches to bring back her brother Kai from the cold hearted Snow Queen. Along the way she meets a vast array of colorful characters including a prince, a gypsy, a crow, a reindeer, talking flowers and a snow monster.

"CTW is one of the most important things we offer the community," said Department Head Tom Smith. "It offers a creative outlet to youth, while teaching life skills that extend well beyond the production."

Admission is open and free to the public. For more information call the Hershel Zohn Theatre office at (575) 646-4517.
