NMSU announces committee for Foundation president search

New Mexico State University has finalized the search committee for its next vice president for university advancement and president of the NMSU Foundation.


NMSU President Barbara Couture has asked Ben Woods, NMSU senior vice president for external relations and chief of staff, to chair the search committee for the position. Greenwood/Asher and Associates Inc. has been contracted by the university to work with the search committee. Greenwood/Asher is a recognized leader in university executive searches.

Nick Franklin, who currently holds the position, announced that he will leave this year after a replacement is selected. Franklin, who had been a long-time Foundation volunteer board member, left retirement to serve his alma mater temporarily in 2008.

Mike Johnson, chairman, NMSU Foundation Board

Jo Asprey, vice chairman, incoming chairman, NMSU Foundation Board

Jose Uranga, past chairman, NMSU Foundation Board

Tina Byford, associate vice president, University Advancement

Ricardo Jacquez, dean, College of Engineering

Julie Hughes, director, Internal Communications and Public Affairs

Nancy Baker, department head, Department of Government

McKinley Boston, Athletics Director

Anna Price, Budget Director
