N.M. AMP conference to bring opportunities for NMSU during Hispanic Heritage Month

New Mexico Alliance for Minority Participation (New Mexico AMP), a New Mexico State University organization founded by the National Science Foundation, will hold its annual Student Research Conference on Oct. 1 at Corbett Center.

The conference is geared toward students and faculty focusing on research and academics in the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) and serves as a vehicle for student and faculty networking. The conference also serves as a forum for STEM students to gain presentation experience, to serve as role models for other students and to participate in workshops and panel presentations to help them plan their academic and professional careers.

For more information on the conference, contact Josie Lannert, conference coordinator, at 575-646-3211, the New Mexico AMP office at 575-646-1847 or visit the website at http://www.nmsu.edu/~nmamp.
