NMSU prepares to celebrate Homecoming 2010

New Mexico State University's Homecoming, "Viva Las Cruces! Lucky to be an Aggie!" promises to be anything but boring. With a large array of events, including the traditional Homecoming football game, the NMSU community will have plenty to do during Homecoming 2010.


The festivities begin Oct. 25 with an Associated Students of NMSU-sponsored Discount Night at Buffalo Wild Wings, where students will enjoy special discounts as well as a DJ. ASNMSU also will have a Movie on the Green night Oct. 26; a special viewing of a student-voted movie will be shown on the jumbotron at Aggie Memorial Stadium.

The College of Agricultural, Consumer and Environmental Sciences will hold a Recognition Breakfast Oct. 29 at 8 a.m. in honor of outstanding Alumni and Donors.

The College of Arts and Sciences will have an Alumni Dinner Oct. 29 at 6:30 p.m.

The College of Business will have their Distinguished Alumni Reception and Networking Oct. 29 at 3 p.m.

The College of Education will hold its annual Distinguished Alumni Reception Oct.29 at 10 a.m.

The College of Engineering will have its Recognition and Honors Ceremony Oct. 29 from 3 to 4 p.m. at the Engineering Clock Tower.

A Distinguished Alumni Dinner, hosted by the NMSU Alumni Association, will be held to recognize alumni who have brought honor and distinction to their alma mater. The dinner will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 29 in the Corbett Center Student Union West Ballroom.

The 2010 Homecoming Parade will begin at 10 a.m. Oct. 30 at the Pan American Center, and continue down University Avenue to Knox Street.

The Alumni and Friends Tailgate Party will be held Oct. 30 at noon in the Tailgate Experience area located behind the Educational Services Building.

For this year's Homecoming Game, the Aggies will face the San Jose Spartans at 2 p.m. Oct. 30.
