Board of Regents approves tuition and fees for NMSU branch campuses

The New Mexico State University Board of Regents has approved tuition and fee increases ranging from 1.19 percent to 6 percent at NMSU's branch campuses for the 2000-2001 academic year.


Tuition and fees for full-time students at the Dona Ana Branch Community College in Las Cruces and at NMSU-Alamogordo will be $420 per semester for in- district students, a 2.94 percent increase over this year's rate; $480 for out-of-district students, a 2.56 percent increase; and $1,092 for out-of-state students, a 3.41 percent increase.

At NMSU-Carlsbad, the full-time rate will be $420 for in-district students, a 6 percent increase; $480 for out-of-district students, a 5.2 percent increase; and $1,104 for out-of-state students, a 5.7 percent increase.

At NMSU-Grants, the full-time rate will be $372 for in-district students, a 3.33 percent increase; $432 for out-of-district students, a 2.85 percent increase; and $1,010 for out-of-state students, a 1.19 percent increase.

The cost per credit hour for part-time students at DABCC and NMSU- Alamogordo will be $35 in-district, $40 out-of-district and $91 non-resident. At NMSU- Carlsbad the part-time rates will be $35, $40 and $92. At NMSU-Grants the part-time rates will be $31, $36 and $85.
