Mesilla Valley Christian Grad wins NMSU outstanding Agriculture Student Award

LAS CRUCES - Jenee Green, a 1991 graduate and co--valedictorian of Mesilla Valley Christian School, received the Outstanding Student in Agriculture Award from the College of Agricultural, Consumer and Environmental Sciences at New Mexico State University in an April 21 ceremony.

Green has been a Crimson Scholar and was included on the Dean's List for academic achievement because she maintained a perfect 4.0 grade point average throughout her NMSU career.

Green has also been awarded the Regents' Scholarship for the past four years and been recognized twice by the American Society of Animal Scientists for her academic achievements.

Green has been a member of the Pre-Vet club, Alpha Zeta, Alpha Chi and Phi Kappa Phi national honor societies. She has worked in student support services as a tutor and records administrator, and also at a local veterinary clinic.

Green will graduate in May with a bachelor of science degree in animal science, and in August will enroll in the College of Veterinary Medicine at Colorado State University. Her ultimate goal is to start a private small animal clinic either in Las Cruces or Albuquerque.

Green is the daughter of Robert and Billye Green, of Las Cruces.
