Solar and Energy Efficiency Workshop Jan. 19 in Albuquerque

LAS CRUCES -- Homeowners can learn more about advanced design strategies for passive solar homes at a solar and energy efficiency workshop Jan. 19 in Albuquerque.


The workshop, sponsored by New Mexico State University's Cooperative Extension Service and the New Mexico Energy, Minerals and Natural Resources Department, will highlight the use of sun charts and plotters for designing a passive solar home. An instructional update on new insulation materials, window glazing techniques and an overview of non-traditional construction materials will be presented during the energy efficiency portion of the workshop.

The all-day seminar begins at 8:30 a.m. at the Technical Vocational Institute Buena Vista Campus, Room S210.
