Registration Information Provided for Beef Efficiency Enhancement Forum

TUCUMCARI -- Beef cattle producers can learn about breeding and managing cattle for profit during the fourth annual Southwest Beef Efficiency Enhancement Forum, Aug. 22-23 at the Tucumcari Convention Center.


The program, sponsored in part by New Mexico State University's Cooperative Extension Service, will include information on managing debt, developing replacement heifers and making decisions on nutrition, breeding, marketing and natural resource management. Beef producers also will tour area ranches and have the opportunity to question the experts during an evening panel discussion.

The pre-registration cost of the program is $30 for the seminar on Thursday, Aug. 22, and $15 for the ranch tour on Friday, Aug. 23. Registration at the door will be $45 for the seminar and $15 for the tour, as long as seats are available. Lunch and dinner will be provided on Thursday, as well as a picnic lunch on the ranch tour.
