New Mexico State again named "Best Buy"

For the fourth consecutive year, New Mexico State University has been designated as one of "America's 100 Best College Buys" by Institutional Research & Evaluation Inc., an independent research and consulting organization for higher education.

The Rome, Ga., company gathered data on 1,458 four-year institutions before compiling its fourth annual report of "colleges and universities that provide students the highest quality education at the lowest cost."

"We are very pleased to once again receive this national recognition for the quality and affordability of our undergraduate programs at NMSU," said NMSU President William B. Conroy.

Selections are based on such factors as the cost of tuition, fees, room and board, the average high school grade point average or ACT scores of entering freshmen, and opportunities for qualified students to obtain need-based, academic-based or athletic-based financial aid.
