NMSU Career Connections offers job opportunities for students

New Mexico State University's Career Services and the NMSU College of Engineering will provide students with opportunities to meet with employers at the 6th Annual Career Connections Career Fair from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Feb. 1 and 2 at the new Las Cruces Convention Center located on 680 E. University Ave.

The Career Connections career fair is intended for all levels of students looking for job opportunities, from internships and co-ops to professional employment. Tuesday, Feb. 1, is reserved for those majoring in business, agriculture, liberal arts and allied health. Wednesday, Feb. 2, is for engineering, science and technology majors.
"The quality of our students, as well as their flexibility and mobility, makes them good candidates for employers," said Roseanne Bensley, associate director of Career Services.

Participating NMSU students are encouraged to establish an AggieCAREER Manager account on the Career Services website, http://careerservices.nmsu.edu. The AggieCAREER Manager tool provides additional resources to research employers, develop resumes and review in advance campus interview schedules that will take place during the Career Connections career fair.

Bensley said participants in the Career Connections fair should research potential employers in advance as much as possible, dress professionally and bring several copies of their resume.
