KRWG AT NMSU PRESENTS JIM CULLUM JAZZ BAND

KRWG at New Mexico State University will present the Jim Cullum Jazz Band at 7 p.m. Jan. 23 at Atkinson Recital Hall.

The Jim Cullum Jazz Band is a seven-piece traditional jazz ensemble led by Jim Cullum Jr. Since 1989, the band has been featured nationally on their own weekly public radio series Riverwalk Jazz. The band also performs live Monday through Saturday at the Landing Jazz Club on the Riverwalk in San Antonio.

NMSU ART DEPARTMENT TO HOST LECTURE BY JAMES ELKINS

James Elkins of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago will present the lecture, "How to Use Your Eyes and How Some Animals Use Their Eyes," at 6 p.m. Jan. 25 in the College of Health and Social Services Annex Building Auditorium Room 101.

The lecture is sponsored by the New Mexico State University Department of Art and paid for by the Lilian Steinman Visiting Artist Fund.

NMSU ART GALLERY PRESENT ART FACULTY BIENNIAL EXHIBITION

The New Mexico State University Art Gallery will present the 2011 Art Faculty Biennial exhibition from Jan. 21 through Feb. 23, with an opening reception at 5 p.m. Jan. 21.

The gallery is open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and is located in D.W. Williams Hall on University Avenue east of Solano Drive.
