SOUTHWEST HONOR BAND: NMSU SYMPHONIC WINDS TO PERFORM


The Southwest Honor Band: NMSU Symphonic Winds will perform at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 12 at Atkinson Recital Hall at New Mexico State University.

This event is in conjunction with the Southwest Honor Band Festival.

NMSU MUSIC DEPARTMENT TO HOST SOUTHWEST HONOR BAND CONCERTS

The Department of Music at New Mexico State University will host Southwest Honor Band Concerts at 1:30 p.m. Feb. 13 at Atkinson Recital Hall.

The Las Cruces All-City Middle School Concert will begin at 1:30 p.m., with honor Band II performing at 2 p.m. and Honor Band I performing at 2:30 p.m.

The Department of Music at New Mexico State University will present a senior violin recital by Paul Jerome at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 13 at Atkinson Recital Hall.

UNIVERSITY MUSEUM TO HOST SPECIAL VALENTINE'S DAY WORKSHOP

The University Museum at New Mexico State University will host a special Valentine's Day workshop from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Feb. 12.

Saturday workshop visitors will learn how to make papel picado, tissue paper flowers and valentines.

The University Museum is located in Kent Hall at University Avenue and Solano Drive on the NMSU campus. Weather permitting, the workshop will be held in the museum courtyard.

NMSU FAMILY RESOURCE CENTER TO HOST PARENTS DATE NIGHT

The New Mexico State University Family Resource Center will offer free marriage and family therapy services to the NMSU community with a parents' date night from 5 to 8 p.m. Feb. 14.

NMSU students may drop off children ages 18 months and older at the center to enjoy a date night.

The Family Resource Center is located at C-100 Cervantes Village at NMSU.

ASTC AT NMSU THEATRE ARTS PRESENTS EDGY COMEDY

American Southwest Theatre Company at New Mexico State University Theatre Arts will present Bert V. Royal's comic parody, "Dog Sees God: Confessions of a Teenage Blockhead," Feb. 18 through March 6 at the Hershel Zohn Theatre.

All evening performances will be held at 7:30 p.m. with Sunday matinees at 2 p.m. Tickets are available at the Hershel Zohn Theatre Box office between noon and 4 p.m. or by calling 575-646-4515.

NMSU ART GALLERY PRESENT ART FACULTY BIENNIAL EXHIBITION

The New Mexico State University Art Gallery will present the 2011 Art Faculty Biennial exhibition from Jan. 21 through Feb. 23.

The gallery is open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and is located in D.W. Williams Hall on University Avenue east of Solano Drive.
