TAOS RESTAURANT TO HOST SEMI-ANNUAL PANCAKE SUPPER


Taos Restaurant in Corbett Center will host the semi-annual Finals Pancake Supper from 9-11 p.m. Tuesday, May 3. Students who attend will enjoy pancakes, breakfast burritos, music and more. Students also will have the opportunity to win prizes from Coca-Cola, Wells Fargo, Subway, Papa John's, IHOP and Sha Bangs. One grand prize winner will receive a My Vu Crystal Personal Media Viewer valued at $199. Taos Restaurant will close that evening from 7-9 p.m. in preparation for the event. UNIVERSITY ART GALLERY PRESENTS MFA EXHIBITION

The New Mexico State University Art Gallery will present the annual Master of Fine Arts Thesis Exhibition from April 15 through May 6.

The gallery is open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and is located in D.W. Williams Hall on University Avenue east of Solano Drive.

LAS CRUCES SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA CLASSICS SIX TO PERFORM AT NMSU

The Las Cruces Symphony Orchestra Classics Six will perform at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, May 7, and 3 p.m. Sunday, May 8, at Atkinson Recital Hall at New Mexico State University.

Lonnie Klein, NMSU music professor, will be director and conductor for the performance. Guest violinist Adele Anthony also will perform.

LAS CRUCES SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA PRESENTS FAMILY CONCERT

The Las Cruces Symphony Orchestra will present a family concert at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 14, with a pre-concert instrument petting zoo at 2 p.m. at Atkinson Recital Hall at New Mexico State University.

At the petting zoo, LCSO musicians will let children see, touch and hear orchestra instruments prior to the concert.

MESILLA VALLEY CONCERT BAND TO PERFORM AT NMSU

The Mesilla Valley Concert Band will perform at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 15, at Atkinson Recital Hall at New Mexico State University.

The band will perform Rossini's "La Boutique Fantasque," Gray's Mesilla Valley Overture and Helder's New Mexico Suite.

NMSU LIBRARY EXHIBIT CELEBRATES CENTENARY OF CUBAN AUTHOR

A new exhibit at Branson Library at New Mexico State University will celebrate the centenary and works of several writers affiliated with the Grupo Origenes from March 29 through May 15.

The exhibit will feature the works of Cuban author Jose Lezama Lima, Cintio Vitier and Eliseo Diego. The exhibit is free and open to the public.
