NMSU DACC recognizes outstanding graduates

The New Mexico State University Dona Ana Community College honored the spring 2011 Outstanding Graduates Wednesday, April 27, in the Corbett Center Student Union.


The NMSU Alumni Association selected a recipient from each of DACC's four divisions based on outstanding scholarship, leadership and participation in university and community activities.

The Business and Information Systems Division honored Christy Johnson of Las Cruces, a major in health information technology. Johnson graduates with a 3.6 GPA as a Crimson Scholar and as a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honors Society.

The General Studies Division honored Delvina Strine who is graduating with an associate of arts degree. Strine graduates with a 4.0 GPA and was recently inducted into the Kappa Beta Delta honors Society for Business.

The Technical and Industrial Studies Division honored Kami Holguin who will receive a degree in electronics technology. Holguin has a 4.0 GPA and was the recipient of the DACC and NMSGC scholarships. During his time in school, he was the senator and president of the DACC Electronics Club.

The Health and Public Service Division honored Christopher Bare from Deming who is studying respiratory therapy. Bare was on the dean's list, a member of the Alpha Chi Honor Society and a Crimson Scholar. He is graduating with a 3.9 GPA.
