A "prestour," a 20-minute tour of an exhibit at the New Mexico State University Art Gallery, will be held from 12:15 to 12:35 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 29.
"Prestour" is a play on words that combines the words "presto" and "tour." The quick guided tours are designed to expand the community's understanding of contemporary art, said Jackie Mitchell, museum educator for the art gallery.
Guest tour guides Rabbi Gerald Kane of the Temple Beth El, and his wife Cyrille Kane, will lead visitors through the Biennial Faculty Art Exhibition. The Kanes were chosen to guide the tour because of their interest in contemporary art and their continued support of the University Art Gallery, Mitchell said.
The faculty art exhibit is a diverse collection of work created by 16 members of NMSU's art department.
The prestour is free and open to the public. For more information call Jackie Mitchell at (505) 646-4010.
