Workshop focuses on assessing young children's development

A two-day training workshop on the Denver II screening instrument, which focuses on the development of young children, is being offered Thursday and Friday, Nov. 30 and Dec. 1, in Las Cruces through New Mexico State University's special education/communication disorders department.


Hosted by TRESCO TOTS, the workshop is for parents, teachers and professionals such as speech-language pathologists, social workers and physical therapists.

The Denver II screening instrument is used to determine whether children, from newborns through 6-year-olds, are reaching normal milestones in their development.
