College of Engineering offers PE exam review for electric power professionals

The Engineering New Mexico Resource Network at New Mexico State University will hold a professional engineer exam review on electric power to help individuals prepare for the exam.

The course is scheduled from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. March 6-7 and will cover circuits and power machines, among other issues. The class also will offer an introduction to engineering ethics.

This course is recommended for experienced engineers who wish to expand their knowledge of electric power system fundamentals, those who are planning to take the PE exam, and early career engineers.

Howard A. Smolleck, retired NMSU electrical and computer engineering professor, is the instructor.

The cost to attend the two-day course is $1,250 per person, which includes instructional materials and meals. The course will be held on the NMSU campus and also will be available via webcast for preregistered participants.
