PAN AMERICAN CENTER HOSTS COUNTRY SINGER ALAN JACKSON


Country superstar Alan Jackson takes his tour to New Mexico State University's Pan American Center at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 14. Jackson has sold nearly 60 million albums worldwide, topped the country singles charts 35 times and scored more than 50 Top 10 hits. Joining Jackson is Casey James whose single "Let's Don't Call it a Night," from his self-titled debut album, is currently climbing the country airplay charts.

ART DEPARTMENT PRESENTS MFA EXHIBITION

The New Mexico State University Department of Art will present its spring 2012 Master of Fine Arts exhibition. An opening reception will be held at 5 p.m. Friday, April 20 at the University Art Gallery located in Williams Art Center 1320 E. University Ave.

Three Master of Fine Arts candidates will be exhibiting their work: Ben Brooks, Kally Malcom and Stephanie Smith. Gallery hours are from Tuesday through Saturday 12-4 p.m. and Wednesday evenings from 6-8 p.m. For more information call 575-646-2545 or visit the University Art Gallery website.

AGGIE ATHLETICS PRESENTS TENNIS, BASEBALL, SOFTBALL AND EQUESTRIAN

Aggie Softball will face the University of Nevada at 4 and 6 p.m. Saturday, April 14, at the NMSU Softball Complex. It is Las Cruces community children's day, and the first 100 fans will receive free giveaways.

Women's Tennis will face Western New Mexico at 2 p.m Tuesday, April 17, at the Aggie Tennis Complex.

Men's Tennis will face Western New Mexico at 1 p.m Wednesday, April 18, at the Aggie Tennis Complex.

Aggie Baseball will face Louisiana Tech at 6:05 p.m. Thursday, April 19, and Friday, April 20, at the Presley Askew Field. All kids wearing their non profit t-shirts get in free for both games. On April 20, the snack bar will feature 50 cent hot dogs.

Bravo Chevrolet will host a baseball clinic from 5 - 9:30 p.m. Thursday, April 19 at the NMSU Softball Complex. Children can be registered at http://www.chevyyouthsports.com/rsvp/.
