"The artists in our group use themes such as self identity, social awareness, pop culture, body image and spirituality to name a few," said Betty Burciaga, a graduating artist who studied sculpture at NMSU. "I think viewers of our exhibition will really get a sense of the contemporary issues that affect our work and how artists translate these issues into visual art."

Art mediums used in the show include ceramics, metals and jewelry, photography, graphic design, sculpture, painting and drawing.

Snacks and beverages will be served during the reception.

The Las Cruces Museum of Art is located at 491 North Main Street in downtown Las Cruces. The museum's business hours are from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.
