CRABTREE AMUSEMENTS CARNIVAL COMES TO NMSU


NMSU hosts the last few days of the Crabtree Amusements Carnival June 23-24 on Lot 30, east of the Pan American Center. They will be open from 5 p.m. to midnight on Saturday, and 5 to 11 p.m. on Sunday. All rides are $1 and all day wristbands can be purchased for $15 at the carnival entrance.

SUMMER STORYTIME CONTINUES WITH CLIFFORD

Barnes & Noble at New Mexico State University Bookstore and Café continues its Summer Story Time with Clifford the Big Red Dog at 11 a.m. June 23 and at noon June 24. Children will have the opportunity to meet the costume character in the southeast living room on the second floor of the Barnes & Nobel bookstore.

VANS WARPED TOUR RETURNS TO NMSU

The Vans Warped Tour 2012 returns to the NMSU Intramural Field June 29. More than 80 bands will perform on eight separate stages during the day-long event that begins at 11 a.m. and continues until dusk. Tickets are $34 in advance or $36 on the day of the show and are now available at the Pan American Center Ticket Office, all Ticketmaster outlets, by phone at 1-800-745-3000, and online at www.ticketmaster.com

BARNES AND NOBLE HOSTS FREE PUBLIC OPEN MIC NIGHTS

Barnes & Noble at New Mexico State University will host free open mic nights from 6-8 p.m. Wednesdays and Fridays during the summer months. The public is invited to enjoy the free performances or to sign up to take the stage themselves.

On Friday, June 29, the event will be extended an additional hour, beginning at 5 p.m., to accommodate special guests Eric Burton, Soul Burst and Erahn Grawl.

Barnes & Noble at NMSU is located at 1400 E. University Ave. on the corner of Jordan Street and provides free public parking just south of the building. Please note that the store will close on Wednesday, July 4, in celebration of Independence Day.
