NMSU to hold workshop on graphing technology for science and math teachers

The Engineering New Mexico Resource Network and the College of Education at New Mexico State University are offering a three-day course for middle and high school teachers called Connecting Science and Mathematics through Technology. The course will be held July 31 to Aug. 2 on the NMSU Las Cruces campus.

The course will be facilitated by Texas Instruments, and is designed to equip teachers with the knowledge and tools to engage grade 7-12 students with the challenges of science, technology, engineering and mathematics. This workshop uses TI-Nspire? handheld technology and covers a variety a topics including physics, chemistry, biology, algebra 1, algebra 2, pre-calculus and calculus.

The three-day workshop registration fee is $350. This includes Texas Instruments handheld technology and teacher software.
