New Mexico State University College of Business appoints new gifts officer

The New Mexico State University College of Business Administration and Economics has appointed Jill D. Belcher of Carbondale, Ill., to the position of major gifts officer.

The announcement was made by Danny Arnold, dean of the college.

Belcher earned her undergraduate and graduate degrees from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, where she has worked in various positions since 1982. For the past eight years she has served as assistant dean for external affairs in the SIU College of Mass Communication and Media Arts, with responsibilities for fund raising and alumni relations.

She is a member of Delta Pi Epsilon, the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education, and Business and Professional Women.

"Jill has been involved in all types of projects and activities that pertain to fund raising and alumni relations. I am delighted to have her on board," Arnold said.
