AUTHOR BOOK READING AT BARNES & NOBLE BOOKSTORE


E.J. Runyon will read from her collection of short stories entitled, "Claiming One," at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 8, at the Barnes & Nobel at NMSU Bookstore. A book signing will follow the reading.

This event is free and open to the public. Barnes & Noble at NMSU is located at 1400 E. University Ave. and provides free parking in designated spaces. For more information, call 575-646-4431.

RUMBEROS DE CUBA COMING TO ATKINSON HALL

NMSU will present The Rumberos de Cuba music and dance ensemble, with special guest Grammy Award winner, Changuito, at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 8, at the NMSU Atkinson Recital Hall. Tickets are on sale now at all Ticketmaster locations. Call 1-800-745-3000 or ticketmaster.com.

O FAIR NEW MEXICO

Mesilla Valley Musical Arts presents "O Fair New Mexico" 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 9, at the NMSU Atkinson Recital Hall. Celebrate 100 years with compositions by composers with a New Mexico connection, including B.J. Brooks, Randy Granger and Michael Mauldin. The afternoon will also feature the premiere of "A Potter's Tale" commissioned by MVMA and composed by John Matthews.

AGGIE ATHLETICS PRESENTS SOCCER, TENNIS

Aggie Soccer will face Weber State University at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 9, at the Aggie Soccer Complex.

Aggie Soccer will face University of Texas-El Paso at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 12, at the Aggie Soccer Complex.

Women's Tennis will host the Aggie Invitational Sept. 14 through 16. The three-day event will last all day and are free to the public.
